Introduction to the Core course is designed to set you up for the future, its a straight forward course that does three key things:

  1. Assess your current core strength level
  2. Develop techniques and practices to improve your level of core strength
  3. Provide you with a customised routine specifically for your level of core strength

This course is designed for people who want to make a difference in their lifestyles and keep managing their health effectively into the future.

Course Content Outline

Our first online course – ‘Introduction to the Core’ includes 45 videos, multiple PDF’s, Quizzes and your own personal Abdominal Biofeedback unit.

The course covers the following topics.

Lesson 1

  • What is the core & the muscles that make up the core
  • Functions of the core & key core roles
  • History of core/lower back issues
  • Movements needing a strong core
  • Anterior Pelvic Tilt – Introduction
  • Abdominal Bracing – Introduction
  • Introductory core routine.

Lesson 2

  • Pelvic Tilting
  • Abdominal Bracing
  • Posture
  • The tricky hip flexor.

Lesson 3

  • Abdominal Testing & Training
  • What is wrong with the Traditional Situp
  • Introduction to your Abdominal Biofeedback Unit
  • Abdominal Strength vs core strength
  • Core strength vs Core strength endurance.

Lesson 4

In this lesson participants are taken through all the core exercises that are lower back friendly and will give you the best benefits in improving core and providing a foundation to develop the fitness you need for your health.

  • Reach for the sky crunches & variations
  • Reverse crunch variations
  • Side crunch variations
  • Planking & variations.

At the end of this course:

  • You will better understand what the full role of the core is, this helps you know what you do and impacts it has
  • The sort of functionality you should expect from your core
  • The exercises that you should keep away from so you don’t damage yourself
  • Most importantly a whole suite of lower back friendly core exercises you can incorporate into your weekly routine as you start down the path of developing a strong and functional core.
